Polymarket strategies for event traders

Research workflow, bankroll limits and exit discipline before resolution.

Strategies on this satellite are process notes for event contracts: thesis, size, correlated books, exit — not a guaranteed system and not sports “accumulator tips”.

A small research loop

Write the claim in one sentence, name the resolution source, check one related market for contradiction, then size small. If you cannot name the source, you are guessing on a headline.

Bankroll is a number of identical mistakes you can survive, not a percentage you saw on a thread. First entries should be boring. Add only if the thesis is unchanged after new information.

Exits before the circus

Illiquid tails near resolution can trap you. Taking a price before the event is allowed; “holding for honour” is not a rule. Fees on round-trips matter — read the fees satellite.

18+ only. No strategy removes the chance of total loss on a contract. Independent guide — not the operator.

Strategies FAQ

Do you sell signals?

No. This page is hygiene: thesis, size, exit.

Should I copy election prices into crypto?

Different resolution risks. Correlation is not a hedge by default.

What is a related market?

Another contract whose outcome would make yours unlikely. If both are expensive, at least one book is crowded.

Where do I start trading?

How-it-works, then login, then a market you can explain. CTA opens Polymarket.
